Walt Disney once said "You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world but it requires people to make the dream a reality"
At Centregreat, we recognise that our most valuable resource is our people and what they deliver to our clients. We invest in our people to encourage their personal and career development in a genuinely friendly and rewarding working environment.
We employ approximately 450 people across all of our companies, in a number of locations in South Wales including Bridgend, Cardiff and Newport. We also have depots in North Somerset and Ayr, Scotland. Roles are extremely varied and we believe in providing opportunity and progression, which is probably why our staff retention levels are so high!

Here’s a bit more on what we can offer:
-
APPRENTICESHIPS: We enjoy strong relationships with local colleges in the areas in which we work, taking on apprentices both directly and through external schemes.
-
GRADUATE SCHEMES: Partnering with the University of South Wales, we offer placements through its Network 75 Scheme, providing undergraduates with a combined work and study route throughout their degree. Undergraduates work with us around 3 days a week, with the other days in University. This marries academic study with real work experience to provide an excellent learning opportunity whilst receiving a bursary. All of our Network 75 students have remained with us after graduation, something we’re particularly proud of.
-
NVQs: We also run specific industry accreditation training through professional bodies such as the Highways Electrical Association (HEA) focusing on practical experience off-site and on-site to support the coursework required to gain NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications.
-
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: As our most valued asset, we continue to actively encourage and invest in effective training and Personal Development of our employees at all levels. This includes through the use of our in-house training facility
-
LINKS TO PROFESSIONAL BODIES: We have strong links with a number of professional bodies such as the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE), CECA, Constructing Excellence in Wales (CEW) and the Highways Electrical Association (HEA). For example, our Civils Operations Director, Ken Evans, is the Senior Chair for ICE Cymru and an approved ICE Mentor.
